Pick a hero
Sixteen of them, each with a weapon that attacks by itself, a mechanic that changes how fights go, a movement trick on E, and a weakness you'll have to play around.

Keep moving
Jumps are buffered, landings keep your momentum, and sliding downhill makes you faster. Slide off a ramp, jump at the top, and go flying over the horde. Stand still too long and Hubris sends hunters to fix that.
- 3
Tear open your level-ups
Every level is a hand of comic cards torn from a booster pack: perks on two upgrade paths, fusions that combine attacks, and sigils branded into your skin. Reroll, banish or skip what you don't want.

Gamble on the loot
Chests are Bonk-a-Million slot machines that pay out stacking items. Hooded vendor wizards turn up with wares and vanish after one sale. Gold Rush coins triple your cash; a rare bomb wipes the screen.

Take the keep
Explore the forest, the village, the graveyard and the crypts. Break the Blood Seals, light the torches, beat a warden to open the walls, and bonk the Rat King off his throne.

Go through the Demon Gate
Then do it again. The keep rebuilds itself around you, harder each time, and your build comes along for the ride.

FAQ
Things people ask
What kind of game is Gone Bonking?
A 3D survivor-roguelite. You run, jump and slide; your weapon attacks on its own; you pick upgrades as you level and try to outlast a horde that keeps getting meaner. Then you do it again with a different hero.
What can I play it on?
Windows PC. Builds are handed out on itch.io while the game is in development.
Is there co-op?
Yes. Two to four players can play online: one player hosts, the others join with a code. Enemies, seals and bosses are shared; loot is yours.
How long is a run?
A run through the keep is built to take around 20 to 35 minutes. After that the Demon Gate keeps going, each loop harder than the last, for as long as you last.
Is it finished?
No. It's in active development and changes every week. Testers get the newest build automatically through the itch.io app.
Is it scary?
It's comic horror: rats, skeletons, voxel gore and a lot of blood, played mostly for laughs. Probably not one for small kids.
